The CIAT Executive Secretary participated in the Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) Meeting

The Addis Tax Initiative has celebrated the first anniversary since its launch at the Third International Financing for Development conference in Addis Ababa

To mark this occasion, the event “Harnessing Domestic Resources: How partner countries can benefit from the Addis Tax Initiative?” was held in at the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York, organized by ITC of Germany, which is acting as Executive Secretary of ATI.

The Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) is intended as a catalyst to significantly increase domestic revenue mobilization and improve the transparency, fairness, effectiveness and efficiency of tax systems in partner countries

Fort the CIAT Executive Secretariat, Mr. Marcio Ferreira Verdi, CIAT Executive Secretary, participated as guest in the panel on “Harnessing Domestic Resources : The Reform in Associated countries and the role of the Addis tax initiative (ATI)”, along with other special guests, such as Mrs. Karina Gould, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Development, Canada; Gwen Hines, Director International Relations, UK, Christopher Heffernan, Policy Analyst, Global Affairs Canada, Lasha Khutsishvili, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia and German Rojas, Ambassador of Paraguay to the United States.
