On October 13, 14, and 15, 2026, CIAT participated as an observer in the 7th Annual BRITACOM Meeting, held under the theme “Smart Taxation, Shared Development,” organized by the Directorate General of Taxes of Indonesia and held in Jakarta. During the meeting, various topics and experiences were presented concerning the modernization of tax administrations, the role of technology, and emerging challenges in international taxation.

The CIAT was represented by Mr. Santiago Díaz de Sarralde, Director of Tax Studies and Research, and Mr. Alejandro Juárez, Director of Human Talent Development for Tax Administrations.

During his presentation, Mr. Alejandro Juárez shared regional experiences in implementing the updated version of the Ethics Self-Assessment Guide, which forms part of the Toolkit developed in this area as part of the efforts of CIAT’s Standing Committee on Ethics.
