On September 18 and 19, 2023, the Executive Secretary, Márcio F. Verdi, accompanied by directors of the Secretariat and the Permanent Representative of the Mission of Spain before CIAT, Mariano Rojo, made a mission to Madrid in the framework of the following institutional activities:

• Signature of the Cooperation Agreement with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development, which will allow to strengthen relationships and enhance activities for the benefit of CIAT member countries;

• Visit the Secretary of State of Finance, Jesús Gascón Catalán; and to the General Director of the State Tax Administration Agency – AEAT, Soledad Fernández Doctor; and

• Participation as speakers in the face -to -face closing academic activity of the international Master’s degree in Public Finance and Tax Administration of UNED / AEAT / IGAE / DGP / IEF / CIAT.
