From June 17 to 19, 2025, the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) participated in the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), held in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, under the theme “Adaptive and Agile Tax Administration in a Rapidly Changing Environment”.

The event was organized by the State Tax Service of Azerbaijan, in its capacity as president of IOTA, and brought together tax authorities from Europe and representatives of international organizations, with the aim of sharing experiences and approaches to the current challenges of tax administration.

CIAT was represented by Fransheska López, Technical Assistance and Innovation project manager, who attended the technical sessions and shared CIAT’s experiences in the design and implementation of innovative technological solutions aimed at strengthening the efficiency and adaptability of tax administrations in dynamic and constantly changing environments.
