We are pleased to present a new issue of the Tax Administration Review, intended for officials of the tax administrations of our organization’s members and associate countries, as well as for the international tax community at large.

This publication is produced under the Technical Cooperation Agreement between CIAT, the Spanish Ministry of Finance, the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IEF), and the Spanish State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT).

This issue features eighteen articles addressing topics of particular relevance to contemporary tax administrations, including tax and reputational risk management, tax transparency, consumption taxation in the digital economy, tax citizenship, data quality and governance, digital transformation, artificial intelligence applied to fraud detection, tax identification numbers, and new tools for VAT management and assessment, among other topics of great interest.

The articles included in this issue offer practical experiences, case studies, and innovative proposals from various tax administrations and specialists, enriching the exchange of knowledge and best practices that characterizes our journal.

We are grateful for the strong response to our call for submissions and reaffirm our commitment to disseminating useful information that fosters learning, drives innovation, and promotes knowledge sharing within the international tax community.
