CIAT Executive Council Meeting (2025–2026)
On March 5 and 6, 2026, the Executive Council of the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) met in Panama City. The meeting was attended by Ms. Carolina Saravia, Acting Director of the Internal Revenue Service of Chile and Chair of the CIAT Executive Council, as well as Councilors from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Peru, and the Netherlands. The Permanent Representatives of Italy and Spain to the CIAT also participated as special guests.
During the meeting, Executive Secretary Márcio F. Verdi presented reports on the items that will be submitted for approval by the General Assembly at the Administrative Session scheduled for May 11. He also outlined the activities conducted in accordance with the institutional agenda, accompanied by the management team and officials from the Executive Secretariat.
The Executive Council is composed of a president and eight councilors, elected annually by the General Assembly. It is responsible for directing and monitoring the Executive Secretariat’s compliance with activities and budget execution, as well as for outlining CIAT’s institutional strategic guidelines.
