From September 9 to 11, 2025, the 6th Belt and Road Tax Administration Cooperation Forum (BRITACOF) was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, under the theme “Shared Progress in Taxpayer Service for a Better Business Environment”. For three days, tax authorities, international organizations and multinational companies discussed in depth key topics such as tax administration, taxpayer services, law-based governance, transparency, tax payment services and the application of digital technology. The Business and Industry Dialogue on Taxation also served as a valuable platform for direct exchange.

Thanks to the collective efforts, the forum was successfully concluded, reaching a broad consensus and presenting eight significant results. These include the first version of the tax administration and taxpayer services product portfolios, the update of the BRITACOM Tax Policy Library, the optimization of the BRITACEG online courses and the incorporation of Hungary as a full member of BRITACEG. The forum organizers also presented the video of the Thematic Days, the Annual Report 2025 and the Joint Declaration of the forum, which reaffirms the commitment to strengthen international cooperation and to continue advancing in the use of digital technology in tax administration.

The closing ceremony concluded with the announcement that the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxation will host the 7th BRITACOF in 2026, ensuring the continuity of this multilateral cooperation space.
