Spain and CIAT Renew Cooperation Agreement
Madrid, Spain, September 22, 2026. As part of the 2nd CIAT Meeting of Tax Administrators, held at the headquarters of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IEF), the agreement between the Kingdom of Spain and the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) was renewed, reaffirming the commitment to cooperation between the two parties.
The agreement was signed by Jesús Gascón Catalán, Spain’s Secretary of State for Finance; Teresa Díaz-Miguel Pérez, head of the International Relations Coordination Unit, on behalf of Antonio Ansón, Director General of Spain’s State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT); Jesús Puebla Blasco, Director General of Spain’s Land Registry; and, on behalf of CIAT, Márcio F. Verdi, Executive Secretary.
The renewal of this agreement ensures the continuity of cooperation between Spain and CIAT and strengthens the institutional framework for conducting joint initiatives that benefit the tax administrations of member countries.
