Madrid, Spain, September 22, 2026. In the framework of the 2.° CIAT Meeting of Tax Administrators, the meeting of the CIAT Executive Council (2026-2027) was held at the headquarters of the Institute of Fiscal Studies (IEF).

The meeting was attended by Mr. Pedro Porfirio Urrutia, President of the CIAT Executive Council and Director General of Internal Revenue of the Dominican Republic (DGII), as well as the directors of Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Curacao, Colombia, the Netherlands and Panama. The permanent representatives of Spain and Italy to CIAT also participated as special guests.

During the session, the Executive secretary of CIAT, Márcio F. Verdi, presented a report on the recent activities of the organization, highlighting the main achievements and new institutional developments. In his speech, he was accompanied by members of the Executive Secretariat team, who expanded the information on the programs and initiatives currently underway.
