Montevideo, Uruguay, October 15, 2025. Within the framework of the CIAT Tax Administrators Meeting, and as a preliminary activity prior to its official opening, the meeting of the CIAT Executive Council for the 2025–2026 period was held at the headquarters of the Dirección General Impositiva (DGI) of Uruguay.

During this session, Ms. Carolina Saravia, Director of the Chilean Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Impuestos Internos), was reaffirmed as Chair of the CIAT Executive Council.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Saravia, Chair of the CIAT Executive Council; the council members from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Honduras, the Netherlands, Peru, and the Dominican Republic; as well as the Permanent Representative of Spain to CIAT, who participated as a special guest.

Mr. Gustavo González Amilivia, Director General of Revenue of the DGI of Uruguay, also took part in the meeting, representing the host country of the event.

CIAT’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, presented a report on the organization’s recent activities, highlighting its main achievements and institutional developments. During his presentation, he was joined by members of the Executive Secretariat team, who provided additional details on the ongoing programs.
