Costa Rica – information exchange agreements become an important tool for customs investigations

Significant adjustments in favor of the Treasury, in addition to criminal charges before the Public Prosecutor for the alleged crimes of tax fraud, forgery and/or alteration of private documents and use of false documents, were made possible, among other elements, thanks to information provided to the National Customs Service by customs administrations of other countries.
