CIAT Updates the Fiscal Files (FFC) and Incorporates the Institutional Strength Index of Tax Administrations (IFIAT)
The Fiscal Files CIAT (FFC) have been updated and are now available with information from 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. This resource brings together key indicators on tax revenue collection, tax structures, tax expenditures, legislation, efficiency, tax gaps, and tax administration, providing an up-to-date and comparative overview of the region.
As a key new feature, this update incorporates the Institutional Strength Index of Tax Administrations (IFIAT), a tool developed by CIAT that enables the assessment of critical aspects such as managerial autonomy, governance, and the resources of tax administrations.
