On 11 June 2020, the Fifth Andean Taxation Dialogue was held, on the Challenges of Taxation for the Post-COVID-19 Era organized by the Simón Bolivar Andean University. This activity was attended by Mr. César García Novoa, Professor of the University of Santiago de Compostela; Mr. César Montaño Galarza, Rector of the host University; Mrs. Andrea Moya, Partner of the Corral Rosales Law Firm and Mr. Isaac Gonzalo Arias Esteban, CIAT Director of International Cooperation and Taxation.

The Webinar was moderated by Mr. Romeo Carpio, Professor and coordinator of the Master’s program at the host university.

This activity addressed the current economic and social context, the economic outlook for the future, the measures taken by some countries and their effects, as well as some recommendations on tax policy and administration for the post-COVID-19 period, or for the economic recovery.
