Madrid, Spain, September 24, 2026. As part of the 2nd CIAT Tax Meeting of Administrators, The Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the Special Secretariat of Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service signed an agreement for the use of the global_tin software library, developed by Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service.

The purpose of the Agreement is to grant CIAT a free, non-exclusive license from the global_tin library, including its source code and the documentation made available by the Federal Revenue Service. The document was signed by Adriana Gomes Rêgo, Special Secretary of the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, and Márcio F. Verdi, Executive Secretary of CIAT.

The signing of this Agreement strengthens cooperation between the two institutions and facilitates the exchange and use of technological tools in the field of tax administration.
