The 6th Tax Annual Summit of Kenya

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in Partnership with African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) held the 6th Annual Tax Summit on 4th and 5th November 2020. This year, the Summit was hosted virtually with key international speakers including: Executive Secretary, Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations, Mr Márcio Verdi; Secretary-General, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi; Director, Centre for Tax Policy and Administration at Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Mr Pascal Saint-Amans; and Executive Secretary, African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF), Mr Logan Wort among others. Participants were drawn from over twenty African Countries.

The theme of the 6th Tax Annual Summit was “Enhancing Tax Administration for Economic Sustainability”, focus on:

  • INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO SSUTAIN ECONOMIES IN THE COVID 19 ERA – THE NEXT NORMAL
    Policy and its impact in the simplification of the tax processes. CIAT’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio Verdi had the opportunity to participate in the discussion of this panel.
  • DIGITALIZATION AND REVENUE MOBILIZATION IN DEVELOPING ECONOMIES
    Impact of technological innovations in simplification of tax processes.
  • NAVIGATING COVID 19 – INSIGHTS FOR SUSTAINED REVENUE COLLECTION AND SERVICE DELIVERY
    improvement of service delivery in Customs.
