Mariano Rojo Pérez holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration. He is a State Finance Inspector, State Comptroller and Auditor, and State Treasury Technician. In his extensive professional career of more than 30 years in the service of the Spanish Public Administration, he has held, among others, the following positions: Deputy Director of Human Resources at the Tax Agency, Advisor to the Director of the Tax Agency, General Secretary of the Institute of Fiscal Studies and General Director of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Defense.

In addition, he has worked as an international consultant in a large number of tax and financial missions in more than 30 countries in America, Africa, Asia and Europe.

He has extensive teaching experience, having given lectures, seminars and classes for the following institutions, among others: Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, Universidad de Educación a Distancia, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Instituto de Estudios Fiscales, Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública and Centro de Estudios Superiores de la Defensa.

He has participated in the preparation and coordination of several manuals and teaching units on financial, tax and accounting matters for the School of Public Finances and the National Institute of Public Administration.
