Sweden is hosting the Stockholm Tax Conference – an international conference on tax capacity-building, 30–31 May.

Sweden invited representatives of governments of 160 countries, cooperation agencies, international and regional organizations, civil society and the business sector to exchange experiences of tax capacity-building.

Efficient and effective tax administration is fundamental to the long-term financing of a functioning society, poverty reduction and the achievement of the goals of the 2030 Agenda.

Márcio F. Verdi, CIAT Executive Secretary, made a presentation on “The roles of the Tax Regional Organizations coordinating and supporting different actions”.
