On June 21, 2021, the CIAT member countries met in Administrative Session of the 55th General Assembly in blended modality (virtual and face-to-face) in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

The session approved relevant institutional issues: the Financial Statements audited by an independent firm for the previous period; the Budget and Annual Operating Plan for 2021 – 2022; the Technical Declaration of the 55th General Assembly; the CIAT Strategic Plan for 2021 – 2026; the venues for the next General Assembly in Argentina and the Technical Conference in Spain; and the new CIAT Executive Council was elected for the 2021-2022 period.
