CIAT and Panama’s DGI Sign Agreement for the 61st General Assembly
The Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and Panama’s General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) formalized an agreement establishing cooperation commitments for the 61st CIAT General Assembly, which will take place in 2027 in Panama City.

The agreement was signed by CIAT Executive Secretary Mr. Márcio F. Verdi and Panama’s Director General of Revenue, Mr. Camilo A. Valdés, and specifies the commitments of both institutions regarding the organization of the event, governing the logistical, operational, and coordination aspects necessary to ensure the success of the Assembly.

During the signing of the agreement, the following officials accompanied Panama’s Director General of Revenue:
- Alexandra Marotta, Deputy Director General of Revenue.
- Diva Pinzón, Office of Tax Evasion and Fraud.
- Ana Silvia Velásquez, Office Advisor.
The CIAT General Assembly is the organization’s main institutional meeting and brings together the tax administrations of member countries and associate members, as well as representatives of international organizations and other invited countries. Its purpose is to promote the exchange of experiences, the analysis of trends, and the discussion of the main challenges facing tax administrations, thereby strengthening international cooperation and the development of best practices in tax matters.
