Mr. Peter W. Veld, General Director of the Netherlands Tax and Customs Administration, offered the final presentation at the closing ceremony of the 2012 CIAT Technical Conference held in Amsterdam from October 15 through 18, under the sponsorship and organization of the Netherlands and which main topic was: “SMART COOPERATION”.

This international tax event – CIAT’s most important annual event held in Europe- was attended by tax administrations representatives from over 30 CIAT member countries from four continents, 10 invited countries and over 20 international organizations and other institutions collaborating and cooperating with CIAT.
