Seminar on Fiscal effects of the Economic and Monetary Unión

 The seminar on “Fiscal effects of the Economic and Monetary Union” will be held on October 21-25, 2013 in Antigua Guatemala, within the framework of the Ibero-American Program of Specialized Technical Development, PIFTE, which is carried out in the Training Centers with the collaboration of the Institute of Fiscal Studies of Spain.

The basic information available on this activity is the following:

Objectives:
Disseminate to the countries Spain’s experience with its integration to the European Economic and Monetary Union. The seminar will focus on the resulting fiscal implications for the tax administrations and the tax policy changes in the member countries. All this effort has entailed an indubitable economic and social improvement for Spain, which may also be to the advantage of the Latin American countries in the future.

Profile of participants and geographical sphere:
Managers and middle managers with decisionmaking power in the tax administrations and tax policy makers from the Latin American countries, as well as researchers and university professors specialized in tax policy and economics.

Financing:
AECID’s Training Center offers partial aid to 17 selected Latin American participants. The aid includes: room and board and transportation during the days of the seminar.
