On September 26, 2019, the CIAT Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, welcomed the delegation from Cape Vert.

The purpose of the visit was to be informed about the work carried out by CIAT, as international organization in the Tax Administrations.

The CIAT Executive Secretariat staff headed by the Executive Secretary, met with: Celina Maria Nascimento Lizardo Torres Lopes – Chief Tax Inspector and Coordinator of the Electronic Invoicing Project (head of the mission); Angelique Regine Oularé – Tax verification technician attached to the functional team of the State’s Revenue Administration (GRE); Martinho Rodrigues Monteiro – Computer Engineer of the State’s National Revenues Directorate (DNRE); Maria Augusta Cardoso Varela – Tax Inspector, attached to the functional team of the State’s Revenue Administration (GRE) and Mário Jorge Brito Andrade – Computer Engineer of the State’s National Revenues Directorate (DNRE).

The delegation visited the General Directorate of Revenues – DGI of Panama, where they were briefed about the electronic invoicing implementation model and will subsequently visit the Internal Revenue Service -SII of Chile to learn about the Chilean experience in the use of Electronic Invoicing.
