Course on Techniques for fighting international tax evasion and tax avoidance – 2nd Ed.

The course on “Techniques for fighting international tax evasion and avoidance ” is sponsored by the Guardia di Finanza of Italy, in the framework of the collaborative CIAT-GIZ German Cooperation Program for the “strengthening of the fiscal sustainability of tax administrations of Latin America and the Caribbean”.

The course will have two stages, the first will be virtual, through the CIAT online campus, and will take place from April 17 to May 21, 2017; next, the on-site stage will be presented by officers of the Guardia di Finanza and the German Federal Ministry of Finance, as well as by recognized experts, and will take place in the city of Rome, Italy, from July 03 to 14, 2017.

Objective: To present the main institutions of the national Italian and international tax law, the techniques for fighting the tax evasion and avoidance, and the modality of horizontal cooperation between collateral agencies.

Audience: The course is designed for officials who perform functions of fiscal intelligence in the tax administration or tasks of investigation and/or control of complex transactions which may have criminal implications.

The virtual stage of the course will be given via the virtual campus of the CIAT, https://capacitacion.ciat.org, for which the requirements are to have access to internet, and to have basic computing knowledge and management of Word. This stage will take place from April 17 to May 21, 2017.

The on-site stage of the course will be taught at the School of the Tax Police of the Guardia di Finanza in Rome, with the support of German and Italian experts. It will take place from 03 to July 14, 2017.
