CIAT Welcomes the New Head of the Spanish Mission

On August 25, 2026, the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) welcomed José Luis Martínez Serrano, Spain’s new Financial Advisor and head of the Spanish Mission to the CIAT.

The Spanish Mission to CIAT, which has been in permanent operation since 1982, serves as an important channel for cooperation between Spain and CIAT. Through this mission, close coordination is maintained with the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT), the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IEF), and the Spanish Ministry of Finance, particularly regarding technical assistance and cooperation activities conducted under the International Cooperation Agreement.

The CIAT Executive Secretariat welcomed Mr. José Luis Martínez Serrano and extended its best wishes as he assumes his new duties, confident that he will continue to strengthen the close ties of cooperation that have historically united Spain and CIAT.
