On Saturday, August 4, 2018, the General Directorate of Revenue of Panama developed the IV National Tax Meeting, allowing the updating, training and exchange of opportunities offered by technology to improve the processes and quality of services provided to taxpayers by the @DGI_Panama.

Inaugurated by the Director General of the DGI, David Hidalgo and Vice-minister Gustavo Valderrama, the event presented the progress achieved by the DGI and the plans under development. Among them are the possibility of paying taxes with a credit card and the coming implementation of the Electronic Invoice.

 CIAT’s Technical Assistance Director, Raul Zambrano, gave a talk on current trends in the use of information technologies by the Tax Administration.
