CIAT and TAT Strengthen Cooperation in Training and Research

On August 18, 2026, the Inter-American Center for Tax Administrations (CIAT) and Panama’s Administrative Tax Tribunal (TAT) signed a Framework Agreement on Collaboration and Technical Assistance in the areas of training and research, reaffirming their commitment to institutional strengthening and technical cooperation.

The agreement was signed by Márcio F. Verdi, executive secretary of CIAT, and Luz Eleida Echeverría Alvarado, presiding judge of the TAT.

The event was attended by the full bench of TAT judges: Elías Solís González, vice president, and Yaribeth González Ramírez, associate judge, along with members of their team. Representing CIAT were directors and managers from the Executive Secretariat.

This partnership opens up new opportunities to promote joint initiatives in training, research, and technical assistance, thereby strengthening the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two institutions.
