From September 25 to 28, 2025, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) participated in the 2nd International Congress of Tax Consultants (CICI 2025), organized by the National Council of Tax Consultants (CONACI).

The CIAT Executive Secretary, Márcio F. Verdi, presented the keynote speech entitled “New Paradigms, Trends and Best Practices in Tax Administrations: Opportunities for the Dominican Republic”. In his speech, he underscored the relevance of innovation, sustainability and modernization of the tax administration to meet current challenges.

At the closing of the opening ceremony, the CIAT Executive Secretary received a certificate of recognition for his valuable contribution to the event and to the strengthening of the tax debate in the region.
