En el marco del Acuerdo de Cooperación suscripto entre el Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias - CIAT y la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico - OCDE, orientado al fortalecimiento y modernización de las áreas de tributación internacional y de las estructuras administrativas relacionadas de las administraciones tributarias de los países miembros del CIAT, y con el auspicio del Servicio de Rentas Internas de Ecuador (SRI), se llevó a cabo exitosamente el Seminario-Taller sobre “Precios de Transferencia e Intercambio de Información”, en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador, los días 24 al 27 de agosto.

Organized by the Finance Secretariat of the State of Maranhao, Brazil, jointly with CIAT and ENCAT, and IDB’s support, the First International Tax Administration Seminar was held on August 18-20 of this year in the city of San Luiz, MA.

In response to an invitation of the government of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the CIAT Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, participated in the International Seminar organized by the Finance Secretariat of the aforementioned state. Other participants included representatives  from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, France and OECD, as well as Tax Auditors from the Federal Secretariat of Revenues of Brazil and Tax Auditors from the State of Sao Paulo and other Brazilian states.

The CIAT Executive Secretary, Dr. Márcio F. Verdi, was invited by the Superintendency of Tax Administration of Guatemala – SAT, to give the keynote speech at the III Citizen Culture Festival held within the framework of the Tax Culture Program being promoted by SAT.
