Working group meeting on the benchmarking program |

The second meeting of the Working Group on Benchmarking for Tax Administrations, which took place from May 12 to 14, 2009, concluded successfully at CIAT’s Executive Secretariat. This meeting was geared at providing more information on this tool for tax management processes, sharing knowledge and experiences in each country, identifying its strengths and weaknesses and establishing the initial set of indicators. |

SII improves the perception of integrity in the public sector |

An annual survey on the “perception of corruption” in public institutions concluded that in 2008, the Internal Revenues Service (SII) was the only public institution where this perception decreased, going from 2.8 to 2.7 points in a scale on which 10 would be the worst grade that can be obtained. |

SUNAT notifies the resolutions on payment in installments via electronic mail |

Since the advent of the electronic notification system last January, SUNAT has issued more than 9,000 resolutions via Internet in order to inform taxpayers of the outcome of their requests to make payments in installments and/or to postpone payment of their tax debts. |
