The new version o f the tool allows for the on-line correction of the 2010 Individual Income (Profit) Tax Returns (DIRPF2010). The amount of information that may be corrected via Internet has been expanded (almost 100%). In addition, it is now possible to correct returns under the complete and simplified models.

The purpose of the new legislation is to eliminate bureaucracy in control procedures and unify rules among MERCOSUR countries.  One of the innovations is the elimination of the Declaration on the Temporary Exit of Goods (DST).

Any tax preparer that does not currently have a preparer tax identification number will be required to go online, fill out an application, answer questions posed by the Internal Revenue Service, pay a fee, and obtain a PTIN, IRS Electronic Tax Administration Director David Williams said July 20.

The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) highlighted the importance of Decree 408-10 issued by the Executive Body, whereby public dissemination is made of the way in which the Tax Administration interprets and applies the corporate reorganization processes carried out by businesses that seek to integrate their net worth by adapting it to the contractual juridical forms mainly used in modern times.
